Many programs have substantial capital needs to provide the infrastructure to ensure vocational students have the necessary facilities to properly learn their skills. These needs are funded by the Trust as specific projects. Agreements between the Trust and the institutions include appropriate requirements relating to student skill outcomes.
VET Development donations provide the necessary funds for these projects and are a vital part of the Trust's work.
A larger VET Development donation from an organisation or philanthropic person or family may, if requested, be considered by the Trustees to be applied as a specific-purpose donation for a pre-arranged project or program.

Sponsor A Student

- Vocational Training Assistance Grants

Funding of whole courses on a fee-replacement basis is the most equitable way of providing scholarships to young Timorese who want to gain a skill, but simply cannot afford it. Each student participating in a supported course is effectively taking a sponsored place.
The Trust uses Sponsor a Student donations to provide the funds for fee-replacement programs.
Note that whilst individual student names and other details are made known to the Trust for purposes of accountability and transparency, no attempt is made to relate individual donors with particular students.

By making an Annual Supporter Contribution donation, you can help to defray the costs of newsletter printing & distribution, internet & phone provider charges etc. These are costs mostly associated with the vital task of keeping supporters well informed.
Receipt of Supporter Contribution donations will allow the Trust to more easily meet its aim of directing virtually 100% of all other donations to help improve the vocational education system in East Timor.
