He served eleven years as Director of Asthma Foundation of Victoria.
Allen is a Director and Hon. Treasurer of the Victorian Brain Injury Recovery Foundation Inc.
He served ten years as councillor of City of Kew and is a former Mayor.
For thirteen years he was a member of board of 140 bed not for profit nursing home.
Allen is a Member of Victorian Tribunal for the Commonwealth Dept. of Health and Ageing Complaints Resolution Scheme.
