Richard Curtain - Director

 Richard holds a Ph.D, The Australian National University, MA Rutgers State University of New Jersey, BA (Hons) LaTrobe.
Richard is the Principal Consultant for Curtain Consulting, Melbourne, established in 1993, which is a public policy research consultancy with an emphasis on youth and employment – particularly related to developing countries.
Prior appointments include:
• Associate Professor, National Key Centre in Industrial Relations, Graduate School of Management, Monash University,
• Principal Project Officer, Bureau of Labour Market Research, and
• Postdoctoral Fellow, ANU, Institute of Advanced Studies.

Richard was a volunteer in East Timor at DIT during January 2003, and has an ongoing mentoring and research relationship with The Centre of Applied Social Research and Policy Studies at the Dili Institute of Technology. Richard’s interest in education, and positive outcomes for youth employment initiatives led him to assist DIT. This in turn led to the development of ideas for the Trust together with Chris Trueman.
