Contact Details >> make a VET development donation This is a means whereby the Trust assists instutions to grow and develop by providing the essential capital to the vocational education sector. Many, if not most, of the Trust's programs have substantial capital needs to provide the infrastructure to ensure vocational students have the necessary facilities to properly learn their skills. VET Development donations are the funding source for these capital requirements and are a vital part of the Trust's work. How to make a VET development donation >> sponsor a student for a semester Sponsorships, in the form of fee-replacement scholarships, are arranged on the basis of clearly set out criteria agreed in writing with an institution. Support is generally arranged to be partial or total fee-replacment for the cost of running a particular agreed course. This means that all students attending the course are supported. All students in East Timor are poor and need your support! Agreements with the institutions include the committment for them to make positive links with commerce and industry to provide parctical experience for the students, and pathways to possible jobs at the conclusion of the course. All the Trust's programs of support have a heavy focus on: students being exposed to appropriate practical work experience the institutions working with industry and commerce to create work opportunites through skill devlopment This is a very practical way that the Trust can encourage individual East Timorese participation in vocational education, and provide an important recurrent funding source to the vocational education sector. This also provides an excellent way for the Trust to canvas support, in the form of affordable Sponsorships, from a wide range of individual and family donors in Australia.
